Recently we have updated our software, both commercial and freeware.
The update list is extremely short, but here are the changes:

+ Trial period for shareware version has been extended to 30 days (from 7 days).
+ Now can be installed and tested in a virtual environment (both commercial and shareware versions)

Logix Employee Monitor Antivirus Report

As we stated many times before, our software is not infected with any kind of malware. We are the producers of the most convenient software solution for employee monitoring. It is a legitimate business. However, due its nature, sometimes antivirus companies may trigger a false alarm as we described here and here. We have contacted most of these companies, we got some answers regarding this subject but not all of them were fair with us. For this moment it seems that Sophos has best customer support service. Thank you very much! On second place comes Symantec. Rest of them gave us ambiguous answers or did not bother to respond to our messages. This is all we can say because the rest is confidential.
We will continue to scan our software in order to keep it clean. From now on we will only post scan results and nothing more. We’ll leave the final decision to you. Moreover, we guarantee you that the software you would like to try or buy does not contain any kind of malware. Sophos Threat Analyses

Unfortunately software of this type is classified as “PUA” (Potentially Unwanted Application), because of the possibilities of malicious use. But it is not automatically assumed as malicious which is why it is not detected as malware. According to Sophos labs, this is a legitimate PUA detection. All PUA’s can be “Authorized” by checking the box next to your software from the quarantine manager and selecting “Authorize”, this will stop the detection from re-occurring.

We have completed our latest security scan for our main product, Logix Employee Monitor. Here are the results. As you already have noticed, most of security software suites are quite friendly with our application. There are exceptions though:
* PCTools says that Logix Employee Monitor is infected with Spyware.Keylogger!rem
* Symantec says that Logix Employee Monitor is infected with Spyware.Keylogger
* VIPRE says that Logix Employee Monitor is infected with Spyware.Keylogger
* Sophos says that Logix Employee Monitor is infected with Mal/Behav-053
As we speak, we have sent e-mails to above mentioned software producers in order to update their signatures databases. Let’s hope that they will act fast.

Logix Clipboard URL Monitor is now available. Save time and efforts with this free application. This release helps you to save your favorite Internet addresses. And best of all, it’s FREE! This application was designed to log all the URLs you have in your clipboard. It monitors Windows Clipboard allowing you to effortlessly record web page addresses you’d like to visit again. As soon as you copy an URL to your clipboard the program will detect it and save it in a file called MyURLs.log. This file can be found in program installation directory.
Logix Clipboard URL Monitor recognizes WWW, E-MAIL or FTP links that were copied by user from any text with Ctrl+C.
